Garnet Captive provides
alternative solutions for mid-sized
businesses through our four
unique group captive programs.
Garnet Captive provides alternative workers compensation, general liability, auto liability, and auto physical damage insurance solutions for mid-sized businesses through our four unique group captive programs:
A heterogeneous workers compensation group captive for best-in-class California-based employers paying $100,000 or more in workers compensation premium. Members tend to be in industries with light to medium exposure to severe claims.
A nationwide heterogenous workers compensation group captive. CommonWealth is designed for best-in-class employers paying $100,000 or more in premium.
A heterogeneous workers compensation group captive that is set up for best-in-class California based employers paying $150,000 or more in workers compensation premium. Members tend to be in industries with medium to high exposure to severe claims.
A nationwide group captive that provides a combination of General Liability, Auto Liability, and Auto Physical Damage coverage. GLC is only open to current or new Members of any of Garnet’s workers compensation group captives listed here. Losses in GLC are not shared with the WC programs, although Members receive enhanced coverage from occurrences that affect multiple lines of coverage.
The success of a group captive is predicated on the superior risk profile of its Member companies. Garnet takes great effort to only invite best-in-class businesses into its groups. As such, the availability and quality of submission data is critical. The more accurate and detailed the submission, the more successful the captive admittance process. At a minimum, any submission should include
- Description of products and operations
- Completed submission template
- Acord application
- Supplemental application
- Five years of currently valued loss runs
- Financial statements
- Current and expiring experience modification worksheets
